The '''Guardian''' (ガーディアン ''Gaadian'') as their name implies, their strength lies in defending allies, using the power of light to defeat their opponents. They were introduced in Version 6 as new kind of vocation called Masterclass, a new way to call the Advanced Vocations from previous Dragon Quest games. They can use Swords, Greatswords, Spears, and Shields. Guardian's starting level is 100 and their exclusive skill tree is '''TeppekiSelflessness''' (てっぺき ''Teppeki'').
