Superbosses: Difference between revisions

Similar to other MMOs or the rest of the series, Dragon Quest X has a handful amount of Superbossessuperbosses added through some of the later versions, unlike the average bosses available through the main story, these require strategy and make the most use of all the vocations available. To make the entry point more easy for new players getting into these bosses, most of these have different levels of difficulty between I through V.

== Version 3: Everdark War of Everdarkness (常闇の聖戦) ==

The Everdark War consist onThis endgame content whereconsists youof fightfights against powerful bosses inhabiting the continent of Nadragand. DuringStarting in v3.1 throughtand throughout the rest of version 3, three bosses were added onin three different realms. The strength of each one used to depend on what the current time (JST) was, but, since v5.0 they included a fifth difficulty (Strength V) and the ability to select the Strength by yourself. HandExamine 5the Dragoniteteleportal fangsnext (youto usedthe toNPC needwith 10Dragonite beforein v5.5),hand interactand withyou thewill correspondingbe NPC/Teleportalteleported andto youthe battle. You'll have 20 minutes to finish theit, battleafter which you will be booted out.

As mentioned before, you need a material item called "Dragonite", these fangs are 100% required to start thea battle. TheYou fangcan collectionbegin startscollecting them by talking to one of the Guideguide NPC (Prinella, Management terminalTerminal Q485, or Dark),. theyThey have an option to cast a "charm spell" on you, this spellwhich grants you a 100% chance to get "Dragonite Shards" as a drop from a monster selected by the NPC (there's also a 10% chance to get a "full Dragonite" fangas a drop). If you want to double check which monster this is after the spell is cast, you can see by going to Stats > <your character> > Current Effects.

Following from the Everdark War, Battle of theEverdarkness, Holythis Guardianscontent is the most difficult battle content in Dragon Quest X. During v4 through v5, six different bosses were added to Astoltia's arsenal of Superbossessuperbosses. The strength of each one used to depend on what the current time (JST) was but, since v6.2 the strength can be selected from 1 to 4. Hand 10 demonDemonbreaker orbsStones to the corresponding GuidingGuidance Crystal, select your difficulty and you have a limit of 20 minutes to finish the battle.

Before being able to start any of the fights you need to ownhave at least 10 DemonDemonbreaker OrbsStones. Unlike the grinding for Dragonite fangs, if you talk to Uriel he will tell you about the monsters who drop the orbsstones without the need of a "spell" to increase the drops to 100%,. so,This easymakes thethem easier to grind, byand havingyou orcan beingbring a Thief andalong (or be one yourself) to increase the collectamount orbsdropped.
