Walkthrough

NOTE: This quest cannot be cleared by Trial Players.

• Speak with Minori to accept the quest.
• Head east to examine the book.
• In the temple, head to the western Green Door and downstairs to progress.
• Move forward for a cutscene.

Ninth Moon Statue

• As Lynn, head into the puzzle room.
• This is a simple "make all the crystals light up" puzzle.
• Solution is middle crystal and then the crystal closest to the mirror.
  • If you imagine the crystals as a number pad when staring at them from the north, hit the crystals in order: 5, 9:
    • 789
    • 456
    • 123
• Afterwards, touch the pedestal for a fight:
  • Flame: Star Tailwind > Wait for Flame to get paralyzed > Lunar Slash
• Collect the Moon Statue, then go back to the puzzle room and swap to Raul.

Tenth Moon Statue

• Enter the puzzle room.
• As you enter the room, take note of the three dark crystals, lined up diagonally, in the middle.
• Hit those three to complete the puzzle.
• Proceed through the door, touch the pedestal for a fight.
  • Use Gravity Burst on the Stone Statue.
  • Shove him near the Rockbomb.
  • Use Shiny Mellow on the Rockbomb and wait for it to explode. If you charm the Rockbomb, the explosion will not harm you.
• Collect the Moon Statue, return to the puzzle room, and swap to Lynn.

Eleventh Moon Statue

• Examine the green door to progress to the next floor and the next puzzle room.
  • Hit the four darkened crystals in the middle, then hit the middle crystal.
  • Again, imagine the middle nine crystals as a numpad: 8, 2, 6, 4, 5.

• Head to the pedestal and touch it for a fight.
  • Before you do anything, use Moonlight Cross to interrupt the Magic Burst. If you do not, you will die. You cannot outrange it.
  • Afterwards, cast Starry Prayer on yourself.
  • Kite the boss to the crystal. When the boss is near the crystal, break it.
  • Use Blackest Night on the boss before he wakes up.
• Grab the Moon Statue and exit through the Green Door.

Twelfth Moon Statue

• After the cutscene, more light puzzles.
  • As Lynn, route the light through the Fish Hole.
  • Swap to Raul, then hit the middle dark crystals.
    • Numpad: 4 and 6
    • 789
    • 456
    • 123
  • Swap to Lynn and feed the light through the Spider Hole.
  • Swap to Raul. Make your way to the south side of the room and face the crystals. Hit the ones marked as X:

  • Swap to Lynn, and feed the light through the Fish Hole. Then, feed the light from the Bat Hole towards the door. You should not need to swap to Raul for this puzzle.
• Now swap to Raul once the door opens and interact with the pedestal for a fight.
  • Kite the Boss to the circle on the floor in the southeast part of the room. Use Spark Revenge and wait to be hit.
  • When the boss is paralyzed, rush over and autoattack the crystal to defeat the boss.
• Grab the Moon Statue and go through the green door.

Final Encounter

• You can examine the text on the ground and in the room to attempt to solve the puzzle.
• However, if you only want the answer:
  • 3 2 5 - 10 11 8 - 9 6 7 - 12 4 1.
• Stand on the green square and use Send To Chat Quest 422 in Say or "white chat".
  • If you have access to a Japanese keyboard, ラナルータ is the phrase you type.
• Gyra Gyra is an annoying boss, and you must respond to his actions or you will lose.
  • First, you must not auto-attack. You will be on healing duty and need to have an action ready to respond. Only heal if Lynn or Raul are at 50% HP or lower to conserve mp.
  • Second, keep an eye on Raul's attacks. He will periodically hit the boss with Dark Resistance Down or Paralysis. Use the appropriate Skill (Blackest Night or Lunar Slash respectively.)
  • Third, if the boss turns to you, get ready to use Starry Prayer on yourself. He is about to try to put you to sleep. If he does, he will hit you for 999 damage. This isn't a game over, but Raul will have to Zing you back, which wastes MP.
  • Once the boss starts casting Kazammle, you don't need to worry about the sleep combo anymore.
  • Once the boss gets to orange HP, he will charge up "Inescapable Wave of Death". You must use Moonlight Cross to stop this.
  • After the Wave of Death is interrupted, he will attempt to shoot a beam of electricity at you. You must cast Starry Prayer on Raul. If you fail to do so, he cannot interrupt the next ability and you will die.
  • After he interrupts Gyra Gyra's followup ability, Raul will grant Lynn a Special Charge. Use Daybreaker to end the fight.

After the cutscenes, report back to Minori to complete the quest.
