Walkthrough

• Talk to Cap'n Madlock to start the quest.
• You'll get a look at the treasure map. Take a good long look at it and tell Captain Madlock what it is. If you don't want to guess or cannot figure it out, skip to the next line.
  
• Then, tell him which continent represents the northwestern corner of the world. If you don't want to guess or cannot figure it out, skip to the next line.
  
• After telling the Cap'n that it is Ogreed, he'll be confused that there's nothing saying exactly where on Ogreed the treasure is.
• He'll spout some nonsense about chemicals and we now need 3 Wonderful Seaweeds. This is actually Water Sedge.
• It doesn't matter how we get it and the easiest way to procure some is from the Material Shop in Luckland.
• Zoom to Luckland, pick up your Water Sedge, then beeline back to the Cap'n.
• He'll dump some purple stuff on the map and we'll get our next hint! You can answer the next one, but if you don't want to guess or cannot figure it out, skip to the next line.
  
• Everything Pirates is always the same place. Tell him it's Gilzad Region and he'll get the bright idea to dump purple stuff on the back of the map, too.

Here's the hint: To the west, a serpent of iron. To the east, water falls from the mountain. Under the furnace where the fire once blazed, the treasure lies beyond the secret.
It might be fun to figure this out on your own. The Cap'n will give you an extra hint if you talk to him again if you're struggling. If you don't want to guess or cannot figure it out, skip to the next line.

• X marks the spot at where everything else always is: The Pirate's Hideout under the fireplace.
• Enter the secret dungeon underneath the Hideout and enter the Secret Place at the end. Then, enter the rusty warehouse door in this room.
• Open the Kingdom Hearts rock and....
• Now THIS is a Pirate's Cove!
• Run down the path and touch the plate at the starry dome, then get behind the wheel and set sail for Treasure Island!
• The quest instructions from here might get lost within our translation tools. The correct directions are:

1. Right
2. Left
3. Do Not Turn

• After the scene, prepare for a boss fight and get back in there!
• After the event, head back to Cap'n Madlock to receive your Proof of Pirate and complete the questchain! Arr!

The Proof of Pirate is a nifty Proof item that allows you to occasionally retain your Tension stage when performing Shoot abilities.
