- Pick up a quest from the NPC in Orphea Hill at C-2 (yellow dot on the map)
- You need to slay a total of 30 different types of monsters. This is retroactive, so if this is completed, talk to the NPC again. You can find how many types of monsters you've slain in the menu where you check your story progress (the top number in the screenshot to the right).
- Go back to the NPC and turn in the first part of the quest.
- Now you will need to purchase any type of monster book from a Monster tool vendor. The closest one is right outside where you turned in the quest just now. Monster books have a picture of a lion on a book if you inspect the item.
- Go back to the NPC at C-2 and turn the quest in
