Zoomstone
The Zoomstone is the fast travel function for Dragon Quest X. Unlike most other Dragon Quest titles, the Zoom spell is not available to the player. Instead, these magical crystals are used.
If you are in a party with other players, you get access to their zoomstones. Obviously, you only have access to zoomstones set to places you have previously visited.
Rewrittable Zoomstones
You can change the destination of these type of zoomstones. To do so:
- In towns and settlements, talk to nuns and priests and select the "Zoomstone" option. They will allow you to pick the area of a town that you prefer. Ie: "Megistris City - Entry" or "Megistris City - Fashion Street".
- In fields and dungeons, you can interact with the fixed floating zoomstones to set one of your rewrittable ones there.
- In housing areas, you can interact with the signpost outside a residence to set a zoomstone there, if the house owner allows it.

Mega Zoomstone
The MegaZoomstone is a special zoomstone that is set to many locations at once, mainly towns and cities.

Bazoom Girls
While technically not zoomstones, these girls are worth mentioning in this page: These young mages can use the Bazoom spell to send you to almost any area you have previously visited.
You can find bazoom girls in South Lendor Port, in Megistris City, and later after V3 in New Ethene Village.
It is recommended to set a rewrittable zoomstone in these towns as soon as possible, so you have access to the bazoom girls.
Once you obtain the Fish Master zoomstone from Fish Exchange, you can rewrite the zoomstone you have set to South Lendor, as the Fish Master zoomstone also brings you there.
