Experience

Experience ("EXP" or "P") is a unit of measurement that determines a player's progression within a vocation. Each vocation gains experience separately, meaning that experience is not shared across vocations. It can be gained by completing quests, killing monsters, consuming vocation-specific scrolls, completing content like the Magic Maze, etc. After a certain amount of experience has been gained, a player's vocation will advance to the next level. Each advancement will require more experience to reach the next level.
Experience Modifiers
There are several ways to increase the amount of experience each time it is gained. Below is a non-exhaustive list of methods that will increase the amount of experience from the initial base earned. You can have one of each type active at a time.

Best Smile | Skill | 1.1 ~ 1.5x | A skill used by the Superstar vocation. This is a multiplier. |
Strong enemy bonus | - | +10~25% | Defeat a monster stronger than the player's level. (±3:10%, +4~8:15%, +9~23:20%, +24~:25%) |
* Example: Angel Slime Cap + Bonus Orb
Gained experience = Base EXP x 1 x (100% + 100%)
Formula
The amount of experience gained is calculated against a very simple formula:
Obtained EXP = (Base EXP of monster) x (Battle Participation Rate) x (Experience Modifiers)
Where Base EXP is the amount of experience points a monster is worth, Battle Participation Rate is how much you participated in the battle and Experience Modifiers come from the various items and effects in the above table. The participation rate is normally 100%, but is reduced by dying, joining the fight midway, etc.
The number of players in the party doesn't matter, so it's more advantageous to battle in a full party of 4.
Experience points are not lost on death.
You can only gain a maximum of 499,999 experience points per battle.
Depositing Experience

At any time, you may choose to deposit experience points earned through the main story and quests, then later withdraw that experience on another vocation. This allows you to bank experience and level up other vocations much easily. Daily and weekly quests cannot be deposited. To do this:
- Visit any inn and speak to a travel concierge behind the service counter
- Select Gift Reception
- Select Saved EXP Settings
- Select Deposit
Withdrawing Experience

To withdraw experience, visit a travel concierge again and:
- Select Gift Reception
- Select Saved EXP
- Select either Story or Completed Subjugation to withdraw the selected experience
NOTE: When withdrawing experience, it's all or nothing. You cannot withdraw only some of the experience.
