The Warrior's specialty lies in being able to hinder enemies with their unique skills. Their exclusive Attack Attacker and True Attack Attacker skills are very important, as they can reduce the amount of damage enemies can deal by quite a significant amount by lowering their attack stat and their overall damage dealt. Their Body Slam and Charge Tackle skills can completely stun enemies, allowing for set-ups or a chance to recover in tougher battles. With Axes, you'll have access to the exclusive Scrap Mettle+ skill that can lower an enemy's attack, defense, and action interval. The unique Earthshatter+ skill can also increase all damage dealt to enemies it hits. Brave Charge is an important skill to keep in mind as well. While active, it reduces the charge time of your charge time skills by 20 seconds, allowing you to use your more powerful skills more often. Be sure to keep this buff active as much as possible.

Warriors have high HP and defense, making them obvious front liners. They can assist in walling, but won't be as good at it as the Paladin since they are not as heavy. When equipped with a Shield, they have access to an improved version of Whipping Boy that allows them to take damage in place of another party member while still being able to move and execute other actions.
The Warrior (戦士 Senshi) class is one of the starting classes in DQX and focuses on dealing damage, tanking, and debuffing enemies. It is a class that provides high HP and physical power, but doesn't have access to spells and has low agility. Warriors have access to Swords, Greatswords, Axes, Fisticuffs, and Shields.
Warriors also have the exclusive skill tree: Courage (ゆうかん Yūkan). Their coup-de-grace is Critical Claim (会心必中), which deals a guaranteed critical hit to a single target that cannot be resisted. Their revocation medal gives them a chance to execute an attack or a skill a second time immediately after the first.

The 真やいばくだき skill (Warrior-Exclusive) is one of the more important abilities in the Warrior's arsenal as it can reduce one enemy's attack by two levels and is extremely useful in almost all types of combat. Generally a warrior will tank or assist in walling, although their walling capabilities are less than that of the other primary tank class, the Paladin. Warrior's job in combat is generally to provide this type of debuff while protecting more fragile classes like spellcasters by pushing enemies away. They are often useful when given a weight buff, (with ズッシード (Zusshīdo)) and unlike the Paladin they don't have any means of buffing their own weight so this is sometimes necessary to allow them to successfully fill a tanking or walling role against heavier opponents. Warriors are also able to output a moderate amount of damage-- less than any of the DPS classes but absolutely enough to be useful damage dealers in battle. Because of their wide variety of assets, Warriors can take a useful role in many different party formations and are easily one of the most broadly used classes. However, the primary weakness of the Warrior class is that they are unable to fit any one specialty role.

Warriors are in a bit of a tough spot when it comes to endgame content. Higher difficulty bosses are usually very resistant to ailments and stuns, which are core to the Warrior's repertoire. This means that many superbosses at higher strength levels will not have room to use a Warrior in a party composition. They also struggle in Banma Tower by not having access to quick and powerful area-of-effect skills. Most bosses in Origin Vault Panigalm do not require the mechanics of a Warrior either.
Axes are some of the more useful weapons for Warriors, as their damage output and debuffing abilities to a single target is the greatest of the weapons this class can use. A one-handed sword and shield combination can also be useful against strong bosses when defense needs to be higher, but generally axes are a superior choice. Greatswords are mostly useful for damage against groups of enemies, but unless a Warrior is taking on the role of the primary attacker against an enemy group this will usually not be a necessary trait.

That being said, Warriors are still a formidable vocation and are useful for coin bosses, Astoltia Defense Force, and Dark Deity's Palace.

Strategy
